Don’t we all wish your hair color would just stay exactly the same as when you first leave the salon? Keep reading...

Well, unfortunately that’s just not possible. But! There are a few key at-home post-color steps you can take to ensure the best results for keeping your color bright and rich!
Always wash your hair with ice water! I know its ridiculously hard, but keeping the water as cold as you can stand it will make sure the cuticle stays closed so the color can not slip out of it. It also ensures less split ends and more shines the good definitely out weighs the cold!
Use professional shampoo made for color treated hair that is sulfate free! Sulfates in a shampoo can do their job a little too good and cleanse the hair too much causing it to look dull and feel drier.
Wash your hair as least as possible! Every wash takes the color out a little more every time. The more you wash, the less time you’ll get out of your color. Choose wisely!
Stay out of the sun and prevent chlorine and salt water! I know, going to the pool or beach almost always requires you to flip your hair like a mermaid or bay watch! But is that cute 5 minutes or Instagram picture really worth the hundreds of dollars you spent at the salon?
I hope these tips and tricks helped you understand at-home hair care a little bit better and gives you more time of loving your hair color! Ill share some of my favorite color-safe shampoos with you below!
