Blondes have more fun, girl!

Don’t we all wanna be the perfect Barbie blonde? The “Elsa blonde”? So icy toned that its chilling?! From my experience, 80% of my clients definitely do! Of course going to the salon and your hairstylist getting you to that blonde color is step one! But, one of the most important parts of maintaining your blonde is your at-home care! Here are a few key points to keep in mind! Keep reading.......

1. Purple/blue shampoo is the best friend you’ll ever have! I mean that with my whole heart. The point behind these shampoos is to neutralize out and counter-act the natural orange/yellow tones the hair brings back as your toner fades out! In the hair world, purple will neutralize and get rid of yellow undertones and blue will take out more of the orange/brassy tones.

2. Products that repair will bring life back to your hair. Yes, bleaching your hair will cause it to change in health a little bit, but adding protein and strengthening products will ensure your hairs health stays in its tip-top shape! You will also need to add in some extra moisture by either a conditioning beam or leave-in moisturizers. Understand that if your hairstylist recommends products after your appointment, they are prescribing what they feel is your best “hair medication”.

3. Keep your environment in mind! I can not stress this one enough! Going in the pool, the beach, sunbathing, etc. can all be huge factors in effecting your blonde hair! The sun itself can not only pull the warm tones back into your hair, but also dry your hair out. The chlorine and salt water also work in the same way, as well as chlorine possibly turning your pretty blonde.. GREEN. Talk about hair a paranormal HAIRtivity!
